Make Music
We want to make 17,000 people feel like rock stars during the race. That means music. We need bands, Ipod experts, and DJs. It's a captive, happy and fun-loving group. It's pretty amazing to inspire thousands of people to greatness! Let us know!

Your key to weight-loss may be in your cereal bowl. People who regularly enjoy ready to eat breakfast cereal with fruit weigh less than those who either skip breakfast or eat other breakfast foods such as eggs and bacon and bagels. According to research, cereal eaters also eat less fat and cholesterol and more fiber during the day. Be sure to choose a fiber rich vitamin fortified food and add some fresh fruit. A good start is easier than you think.

Am I too old too run?
Good gawd, NO! Age only matters if you're a piece of cheese.

Do you wallow in your greatness?
Well you should because no one is going to do THAT for you. Make a list of everything you've accomplished--big and small-- in the past day. How about the past week? Yep, pretty amazing aren't you? You simply forgot or worse, took yourself for granted. Realizing what an outrageously wonderful person you are will inspire you to take on bigger dreams and cross more "finish lines."

What is the primary reason people train?
To lose weight! Sadly, many people think "when I lose the weight and get fit, thennnnn I'll start doing the things I've always wanted to do." Try the opposite approach. Set the goal — Thanksgiving Day 10k-- and in the process of training for this adventure, you'll lose the weight, get fit, cross a finish line, get a t-shirt, and more. No one could ever take away this accomplishment.

Why can I do it?
2.9 Million!
That's the approximate number of coats that families have in their closets. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I have a few of those millions, and I'm going to get on the starting line with coats on and in hand for Goodwill and good feelings!
— Sue, Hyde Park

Running has given me the courage to start, the determination to keep trying, and the child-like spirit to have fun along the way. Run often and run long, but never outrun your joy of running.
